Birthstone of the Month and Color of the Year!

The birthstone of this month is a beautiful lavender to violet colored quartz called Amethyst. Amethyst is said to protect one from poison, evil and from getting drunk. Yes, you read that right! Haha so next time you go to a party, make sure you have your amethyst jewelry on! 

 

The color of the year this year is Marsala! A gorgeous wine shade of red. This is very similar to a shade of Garnet, the birthstone of the month of January. According to Pantone.com, lavender and violet would very nicely compliment the color of the year when paired together!
